LibQUAL+ is a suite of services that can be used to assess and improve library services. The survey, which takes 10-15 minutes to complete, includes 27 questions on users expectations for specific resources, services, and environment; demographic questions, questions about respondents' use of Steen Library, and a box for comments.

General Databases

Academic Search Complete (Ebsco) is a multidisciplinary index giving access to articles in over 8000 journals with many available in full text.

Expanded Academic ASAP (Gale Cengage Learning) is a general database with indexing for journal, magazine and newspaper articles, with many of the articles available full text.

Google Scholar provides a search of scholarly literature across many disciplines and sources, including theses, books, abstracts and articles.

Wilson Select Plus (FirstSearch) is a general database that contains full text articles from popular and scholarly journals and magazines.

 

Subject Databases

Health Reference Center (1996 - Present) provides indexing for magazine and journal articles, and pamphlets dealing with personal and allied heath, medicine, and nursing. Many of the articles are available in full-text format.

Health Source: Nursing/Academic edition (Ebsco) provides full-text access to articles in scholarly journals focusing on nursing and allied health professions.

Medline (Ebsco) is a database that covers all areas of medicine, including dentistry and nursing. There is no full text access, but most records include substantial abstracts.

MedicLatina is a full text Spanish language collection of medical research and investigative journals published by Latin American medical publishers.

Mental Measurements Yearbook (MMY) provides users with a comprehensive guide to over 2,000 contemporary testing instruments. The series contains information essential for a complete evaluation of test products within such diverse areas as psychology, education, business, and leadership . Coverage begins with Volume 9 to present.

Psychology Collection provides access to over 200 full-text periodicals dealing with the study of the mind, human emotions, and how the mind develops over a lifetime.

Psychology & Behavioral Sciences Collection

PsycINFO (Ebsco) indexes and abstracts books and book chapters in English, and 1,300+ journals in over 20 languages in the field of psychology.

PubMed is the National Library of Medicine's search service with access to 9 million citations in MEDLINE and Pre-MEDLINE (with links to participating on-line journals).

SpringerLink Journals is the most comprehensive online collection of scientific, technological, and medical journals; some are available full text and are clearly marked as such.

Wiley Intersciences provides access to articles published in journals of international scholarly and professional societies, some are available full text.

ERIC/AE Test Locator and Test Review Locator
The Educational Testing Service (ETS) Test Collection Database contains descriptions of over 10,000 tests and research instrument. The Test Review Locator allows you to search for citations to reviews of educational and psychological tests and measures that The Buros Institute of Mental Measurements and ProEd (book publisher) have included in their directories. The Buros/ERIC Test Publisher Directory allows you to search for the names and addresses of over 900 major commercial test publishers.

Mental Health Net
