LibQUAL+ is a suite of services that can be used to assess and improve library services. The survey, which takes 10-15 minutes to complete, includes 27 questions on users expectations for specific resources, services, and environment; demographic questions, questions about respondents' use of Steen Library, and a box for comments.

The Library Systems Department assists students, faculty and the community with their information technology needs through the maintenance of up-to-date computing laboratory and classroom facilities within Steen Library. Faculty are encouraged to utilize the LINC classroom and Infolabs for research activities and “hands-on” technology applications instruction. Individuals not affiliated with SFA, as well as visiting classes and sponsored groups, must apply for computer guest accounts to use lab and classroom facilities. The Library Web Services Department supports and develops the delivery of library-related electronic resources to SFASU students, faculty and staff as well as the East Texas community and public at large. Library Web Services collaborates with other library departments to develop informative, relevant, web-based materials in support of the University’s mission. These objectives are met by utilizing and maintaining the library’s web-related servers and applications.
