Dr. Chamberlain formed the East Texas Historical Society, along with Stephen F. Austin State University President Ralph W. Steen, in 1962. C.K. acted as editor for the society until he retired from the position in 1971. At the time of the society's beginning Dr. Chamberlain was head of the history department at SFASU.
In this collection you will find correspondence from and to C.K. Chamberlain. There are several reports to Mr. Chamberlain by various authors, as well as newspaper clippings, a few photographs, typed transcripts and one hand written script.
