Lloyd G. Schenck was the manager of the Lufkin office of Perkins- Goodwin Company, New York paper brokers who handled the Southland Paper Mills business. Schenck later worked as a Lufkin News writer, sometimes writing articles about his experiences with Southland Mills and people associated with the Mill and Perkins-Goodwin Company. He was also a member of the Kurth Memorial Library Board in the 1940's. This small collection consists of early documents and later papers relating to Southland Mills which were collected by Schenck.
