LibQUAL+ is a suite of services that can be used to assess and improve library services. The survey, which takes 10-15 minutes to complete, includes 27 questions on users expectations for specific resources, services, and environment; demographic questions, questions about respondents' use of Steen Library, and a box for comments.

The original documents of the Nacogdoches Archives are housed in the Texas State Library and Archives in Austin, where they have been since 1850. The East Texas Research Center collection includes typescripts of official records created and accumulated at Nacogdoches during the Spanish and Mexican periods. Includes correspondence, decrees, orders, circulars, and other communications sent to the frontier from higher governmental authorities; correspondence of the commandant; correspondence and proceedings of the alcaldes and ayuntamiento of Nacogdoches; and records relating to adjacent territories of Anahuac, Attoyac, Ayish Bayou, Liberty, Neches, Sabine, San Augustine, and San Felipe. There are also microfilm copies of the original documents.
