Cross Roads Cumberland Presbyterian Church, located in the Nat Community in Nacogdoches County, was organized around 1889 by the Levi Russell and J.B. Paine families. Reverend George W.C. Self served as organizing minister. It is assumed that Cross Roads Presbyterian Church ceased to function not long after the death of Reverend Self in 1917. The church had an aggregate membership of 107.
The minutes book is a photocopy of the original and includes minutes of session, 1889 to 1914; register of communicants, 1889 to 1918; register of adult baptisms, 1892 to 1911; and financial - statistical reports to the Presbytery, 1890 to 1907. Accompanying the minutes book is a brief history of the church and an index to names mentioned in the communicants register compiled by Mozelle Kerss. Typed transcriptions of the most faded pages are attached to the appropriate page.
